Palma, March 12, 2024. - APSL-Nagarro and the Barcelona City Council have launched IRIS Mobile, the mobile application that allows opening and managing incidents on the IRIS citizen attention platform from mobile devices.
The Barcelona City Council developed an initial version of the IRIS citizen platform, which operated and evolved for 10 years. In 2018, due to the need to improve efficiency in management and task assignment, it began developing IRIS2 together with APSL Nagarro. In this phase, Artificial Intelligence was introduced for the automatic distribution of tasks and workflows.
This mobile version facilitates the ability to perform tasks on the go by municipal operators who have a high degree of mobility. It allows incidents to be closed at the moment they are resolved and from the same location thanks to the mobile application.
This evolution of the intelligent citizen attention platform IRIS-NIRIS, which is available to all municipalities through contracting APSL Nagarro, focuses on optimizing citizen attention by intelligently distributing requests through the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI). This innovative approach ensures efficient task distribution and responses, significantly accelerating response times for citizens.
This distribution also allows for a reduction in errors in the distribution of tasks between departments. In the case of the Barcelona City Council, the initial developer of the IRIS platform, errors were reduced by 50% when APSL-Nagarro contributed Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to the system.
NIRIS-IRIS is currently operating in the Barcelona City Council and the Concello da Coruña, demonstrating that it is a robust and proven product. In the Barcelona City Council in 2023, a total of 387,382 requests were managed through this platform, which were resolved and responded to in an average of 7.6 days.
